ABOUT CML FITNESS

Hi I'm Christine. My number one focus is on enjoyment of physical activity whether it’s via Zoom, in a face to face group or in a 1:1 session.  If you enjoy what you do, you’ll be more inclined to stick with it and be healthier and happier for it.

I take a holistic approach to health and fitness and will help and support you achieve your goals in a way that works for you and your life.

Having had spinal surgery in my 30s and being recently diagnosed with an autoimmune condition, I am fully aware that even thinking about fitness can be daunting.  I also understand the importance of learning what you are able to do rather than focussing on what you are unable to do and the link between physical and mental health, when living with such conditions.

Since qualifying as a fitness instructor in 2016 and personal trainer in 2017, I have furthered my skills and qualified to:

  • YMCA Level 4 in Programming Physical Activity for Individuals with Low Back Pain

  • YMCA Diploma in Exercise Referral, which means I am able to support you in building your strength and functional fitness so that you can manage your condition rather than your condition managing your life

  • FFA Level 3 award in Supervising First Aid for Mental Health

  • UK Athletics Running Group Leader

  • St John’s Ambulance First Aid at Work

I am registered with The Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMPSA).
